Well, I'm definitely over my fifty quid proposed budget now. I was at £47.55. Since then, I've not been extravagant - honestly! - but I've spent:
£4.00 - on gardening gloves. I get through so many of them. Actually I get through the left hand gloves - as I'm left handed - and have loads of intact right hand gloves but the lefties are full of holes and worn through.
£7.50 - on 3 bags of Co-op potting compost. Needed for sowing indoor seeds and potting on seedlings that're outgoing their space in the propagator.
80p - on herbs. A total bargain. A sage and three rosemary plants, all healthy and reduced for quick sale from £2.00 to a mere 20p each.
£10.00 - a cloche from Wilko. Bought 'cause I needed a protected place for seedlings and don't have a more substantial, permanent cold frame.
So, by my maths that makes it a grand total of £69.85. Not outrageous, I trust you'll agree? How's your garden spending going? Way over budget or keeping costs to a minimum?
